PATTERSON PARK OVERVIEW / HISTORY
The Patterson Park neighborhood adjoins the 155-acre Patterson Park, Baltimore's most used park which was named "Best Park in Baltimore 2002" by the Baltimore City Paper. The neighborhood of row houses (Over 2,200 houses) welcomed generations of Baltimore's eastern European immigrants during the previous century. The boundaries of the neighborhood are Milton Avenue on the west, Clinton Street on the east, Fayette Street on the north and Pratt Street on the south.

Southeast Baltimore's Patterson Park neighborhood is nestled between popular Butcher's Hill and thriving Canton. It is walking distance to Fells Point, Canton, Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions and the waterfront, with easy access to I-83, I-95 and downtown Baltimore.
Patterson Park was donated in 1827 by William Patterson to the City of Baltimore with 5.96 acres of land. In 1860 an additional 29.2 acres were purchased from the Patterson heirs. Another expansion of 19.2 acres was added in 1873, and two additional expansions in 1907 and 1913 brought the total acreage to 155.28.
